Iranian artists from the country’s cinema, theater, and music communities have come together to bring comfort to war-affected children and families through live performances.

A special event called "Heart of Iran" kicked off on Saturday in Tehran and was put together by Iran's House of Cinema, House of Theater, and House of Music.

The guests were kids and families affected by the recent U.S.-Israel aggression against Iran.

The night had puppet shows, traditional shadow plays, stand-up comedy, and live music.

At one point, the children and artists worked together to complete a big puzzle shaped like a symbol of Iran. It was made by Ava Peyk-e Tahrir and Majid Akbari, and was dedicated to the memory of the Minab school children in Iran who were martyred by the US and Israel.

Three different puppet shows were performed by the Puppet Performers Association and young artists from the House of Theater. There was also a traditional Iranian shadow play led by Iranian actress Setareh Eskandari, organized by the Iran Shadow Puppet Museum.
