'Gando 3' series in the works

Third season of the television series 'Gando' is currently in the writing stage, with work underway on its screenplay and final scenario.

Mahan Sayyadi, CEO of the Martyr Avini Thought Institute, said on Monday to the local media that discussions are taking place with a picture company in Iran regarding the writing of the script and the final scenario for 'Gando 3'. 

'Gando 1' is an acclaimed Iranian spy-thriller television series that aired on iFilm English TV, revolving around the high-stakes operations of Iran's intelligence agency. 

'Gando 2' deals with the role of the British Embassy in Iran in issues such as currency fluctuation.

Seasons 1 and 2 of the series were directed by Javad Afshar.

The series title refers to the Iranian mugger crocodile. Director Afshar has explained that the name was chosen because the gando is a creature that can patiently wait in ambush for long periods before striking its prey at the right moment. For this reason, it is known as an ambush hunter.

According to Afshar, this characteristic resembles the work of spies and even counterintelligence agents.
