The miniseries will be produced by Mohsen Ali-Akbari in eight episodes, with 50% participation from Iran and 50% participation from Turkey.
The General Department of Dramatic Productions of the IRIB’s World Service is in charge of its design and execution.
A group of Iranian and Turkish actors will form the cast list of ‘Olive Blossoms’, while Mehrdad Ghaffarzadeh, the writer and director of works such as ‘The Receiver’ and ‘The Sea and the Flying Fish’, is directing it.
The story of this series, based on historical documents and events, deals with the years 1947 and 1948 in Palestine and narrates the events of this region during the end of the presence and withdrawal of British forces and the formation of conditions leading to the presence and settlement of Jews.
According to the planned schedule, the filming of ‘Olive Blossoms’ will begin in Turkey in mid-October.
In addition to being broadcast on the networks of the World Service and the domestic channels in Iran, the series will be broadcast in Turkey.
‘Saint Mary’ and ‘Men of Angels’ are among the titles produced by Ali-Akbari, a veteran producer of cinema and television.
