iFilm English TV to offer ‘Afghan Bride’

iFilm English TV Channel’s feature film ‘Afghan Bride’ has been scheduled to go on air on September 12, 2026.

The movie, produced by Alireza Mazinani and directed by Abolqassem Talebi, will be aired on Saturday night.

It tells the story of a young Afghan man named Gol-Mohammad who goes to Pakistan to earn money to pay the bride price for a girl he is deeply attached to, and there he works in various jobs such as selling newspapers, sweeping, etc.

Gol-Mohammad returns to Afghanistan when the Taliban regime has changed and he is informed that the girl he loved has married in his absence.

The cast list of the movie includes Hossein Yari, Noura Hashemi, Mohsen Hosseini, and Keramat Roudsaz.

‘Afghan Bride’, made in 2002, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.
