Italy’s CyBorg Film Festival to screen 2 Iran animations

Two Iranian short animations have been scheduled to go on screen at the 10th edition of the CyBorg Film Festival in Italy.

To be held in September, the Italian event will screen ‘Unveiling Ceremony’ made by Mehdi Boustani and ‘Dark Room’ directed by Ali Zarekar.

The seven-minute ‘Unveiling Ceremony’, made in 2016, will compete at the short animation section of the festival.

It has previously taken part at six film festivals in France, Germany, the US and Italy and received an award from the International New Animated Films & Cartoon Film Festival in the US in February 2017.

The twenty- minute ‘Dark Room’, made in 2016, will be competing at the short film category of the gala.

The tenth international edition of the festival will be held in three Italian cities of Umbria, Tuscany and Liguria.

Umbria will host the festival on September 22-24, Tuscany will hold it on September 29, and the event will continue in Liguria on October 13-15.
