New season for popular Iran series in development

Substantial portion of screenplay for popular Iranian series ‘The Capital’’s new season has come to an end, local media says.

Khashayar Alvand, the scriptwriter of the series said that it might be the final season of ‘The Capital’.

“The series is to be written in 15 episodes, of which 13 episodes have been written and the rest will be finished soon,” Alvand added.

Four seasons of the series ‘The Capital’, directed by Siroos Moghaddam, already came out in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The first season started with the story of a family's migration from the small town of Aliabad to the capital, Tehran, and troubles they encounter.

Mohsen Tanabandeh, Alireza Khamseh, Rima Raminfar, Ahmad Mehranfar have appeared in installments of the series.
