The Celebration of Iranian Cinema festival has commenced at the University of California, Irvine.

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) in Orange County is organizing the 2nd annual Celebration of Iranian Cinema, which opened today and will feature a lineup of popular Iranian movies.

The five movies to be screened at the three-day celebration include ‘Life and a Day’ by Saeid Rustai, ‘Starless Dreams’ by Mehrdad Oskui, ‘Hey, Humans’ by Rakhshan Bani-Etamed, ‘Breath’ by Narges Abyar and ‘Daughter’ by Reza Mirkarimi.

All films will be shown in their original Farsi language with English subtitles.

The 2nd edition of the Celebration of Iranian Cinema festival is being held on the UCI campus and will end on August 27.

The film festival is being held in collaboration with the Jordan Center for Persian Studies, UCI.

Co-presenter of the event is the UCLA Film & Televisions Archives.
