Officials comment on Health Film Festival in Tehran

Esteemed officials have remarked on the closing of the Health Film Festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The 2nd edition of the Health Film Festival came to a close at the Charsou Cineplex in downtown Tehran on Saturday, with rave reviews from esteemed officials regarding the four-day event.

Minister of Health Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi praised the festival for sustaining its role as an instrument for conveying messages and training people.

“The Health Film Festival seeks to play a direct and indirect role in the cinema industry and help safeguard the society’s health through the medium of cinema,” he said.

The Health Film Festival aims to showcase films with important subjects, such as those sharing information, providing direct and indirect training, promoting healthy lifestyles and retraining social harm.

Festival secretary, Ebrahim Darughezadeh, noted that maintaining, promoting and achieving higher healthcare levels is a significant factor in all societies.

He added that the festival aims at enhancing cooperation between the country’s media and health activists in order to produce accurate, precise and scientific works.

The Health Film Festival is the outcome of collective efforts of artists, members of the policymaking council, organizers and administrators of the health sector.
