Iranian Oscar-winning movie ‘The Salesman’ directed by Asghar Farhadi has been shown on ceiling of the Art and Exhibition Hall of Germany in Bonn city.
The film went on the German screen on August 29, Tuesday, Iran’s cultural attaché in Germany announced.
Farhadi's featured film won the award for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 69th edition of the Academy Awards and two awards at the 70th edition of Cannes in France.
This was the second time that Farhadi won an Oscar. In 2012, he became the first Iranian to win the prestigious award for his film ‘A Separation’.
‘The Salesman’ tells the story of a young couple named Emad (Shahab Hosseini) and Rana (Taraneh Alidousti) who move into a new flat in the center of Tehran. But an incident linked to the previous tenant dramatically changes their life.
The Oscar winning film has recently been chosen as one of the best movies of the year 2017 by Metacritic website.
Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the most visited museums in Germany. It holds exhibitions relating to art and cultural history from around the world.
