Iranian filmmaker Ali Jenaban wins the ‘Mutti Prize’ awarded annually on the sidelines of the 74th Venice International Film Festival.
Jenaban received the €2000 prize of ‘best creativity’ for the screenplay of his 2016 documentary ‘Salmon’, depicting the story of three women named Soraya, Parvaneh and Valentina Pouyan who spend an entire day with labor kids.
The Mutti Prize awarded by the Cinema of Bologna since 2008 is given annually to immigrant filmmakers who reside in Italy.
The 74th Venice International Film Festival is organized by La Biennale di Venezia, and takes place at Venice Lido from August 30th to September 9th, 2017.
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry.
