American actor Jim Carrey to star in TV show ‘Kidding’

American comedian and actor Jim Carrey has been chosen to star in the new television series ‘Kidding’.

Carrey will return to the TV screen in a half-hour comedy titled ‘Kidding’, where he plays Jeff, a.k.a. Mr. Pickles, who is a famous character of children’s television.

“No one inhabits a character like Jim Carrey, and this role... is going to leave television audiences wondering how they went so long without him,” said David Nevins, CEO of the host channel.

A 10-episode order needs to be filled up for the first season of the series.

The comedian last performed on television in the 1990’s sketch-comedy show ‘In Living Color’.

Carrey remains one of the most popular performers of all time, having starred in blockbusters such as ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’, ‘Dumb and Dumber’ and ‘The Truman Show’.
