Famous Iranian painter Mahmoud Farshchian speaks about his famous painting depicting Imam Hussein (AS) martyrdom in the evening of Ashura.
The evening of Ashura is a painting by Iranian master Mahmoud Farshchian. The central motif is sadness and sorrow of Imam Hussein (AS)’s family while crying around his horse coming back without its rider.
Farshchian is the founder of his own school in Iranian Painting, which adheres to classical form while making use of new techniques to broaden the scope of Iranian painting.
