Int’l event on Rumi, Shams Tabrizi to start in Iran

The 3rd International Conference on Rumi and Shams-i Tabrizi has been scheduled to take place in the Iranian city of Shiraz.

Scholars from around the world will come together in Khoy, which is home to the tomb of spiritual instructor Shams Tabrizi, on October 7 and 8.

Latest studies on Rumi and mentor Shams Tabrizi will be discussed at the conference, said Yousef Mohammadnejad, the secretary of the conference.

The experts will also hold talks about cultural and political situations in the formation of the character of Shams, his education, his thoughts and behaviors.
