Iranian film ‘The Distance’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 62nd edition of the Cork Film Festival in Ireland.
‘The Distance’ is to attend the competition section of the event this November to race with films from Germany, Denmark, Spain, Britain, the US, Mexico, and Canada.
Directed by Yousef Kargar, the flick narrates the story of a young man, Yashar, who wants to inform the family of his friend, Araz, about him. In contrast, Araz’s family give him an newer piece of news.
Ireland’s oldest cinematic event, the Cork Film Festival, describes itself as playing a rich selection of the best of contemporary works from the global cinema, and is always on the look out for interesting new voices.
It is accredited by Academy Awards in the US, BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television) and the European Academy Awards.
The 62nd edition of the Cork Film Festival is slated to be held on November 10–19, 2017, in Cork, Ireland.
