Iran film ‘Emancipation’ wins prize in Spain festival

Iran short film ‘Emancipation’ has taken the jury's nod of approval at the Girona Film Festival in Spain.

Iranian actor/director Behzad Khodaveisi’s film won the special jury prize for the 29th edition of the Girona Fest in Spain.

‘Emancipation’ reflects the challenges of women in society.

Behzad Khodaveisi studied Acting and Stage Directing at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. He also earned a master’s degree in production. He has appeared in many Iranian series and films.

The 29th Girona Film Festival featured 100 films from different countries.

The Spanish festival’s focus is on giving film directors the opportunity to make their films known, share experiences and stimulate creation.
