Casa Asia Filmfest to host 10 Iran movies in Spain

Casa Asia Filmfest in Spain has scheduled to screen 10 Iranian films in November.

Farhad Mehranfar’s ‘The Dream of Water’, ‘A House on 41st Street’ directed by Hamidreza Qorbani, Mohammad Rahmanian’s ‘Bench Cinema’, ‘Mina’s Option’ by Kamal Tabrizi, Gholamreza Saghrachian’s ‘Hura’, ‘Taken’ directed by Bijan Mirbaqeri, ‘By the Time Ahmad Comes’ by Sadeq Sadeq-Daqiqi and Maziar Miri’s ‘Sara and Aida’ are among the films.

The director Rahmanian is also scheduled to be present at the festival as a jury member.

Casa Asia was launched as a film week in Spain but was soon turned into a festival.

Casa Asia was created with the will to strengthen the knowledge and dialogue about Asia in Spain, with the analysis and discussion of civic, political, social, cultural, economic and environmental issues, supporting activities and projects that contribute to a better knowledge between Asian and Spanish societies, and to promote the development of relations among them.

The festival is to be launched on November 2, 2017, in Spain, and will continue until November 12.
