Iran film ‘Confiscation’ shoots last scenes in Armenia

Iranian director Mehran Ahmadi films the last scenes of ‘Confiscation’ in Armenia.

Iranian director/actor Mehran Ahmadi has filmed the last scenes of his first film titled ‘Confiscation’ in Armenia.

The news was announced by the Iranian embassy in Armenia during a meeting attended by the Iranian ambassador as well as the film’s cast and crew.

Set in the US and Armenia, ‘Confiscation’ is a comedy film that follows the story of a SAVAK (Iran's security service before the Islamic Revolution) agent escaping to the US after the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

The feature-length comedy stars Reza Attaran, Houman Seyyedi, Babak Hamidian and Mir-Taher Mazloumi.

Ahmadi studied theater and began his cinematic career in 2006 with the movie ‘Adam’.

His performance in movies like ‘Nothing’, ‘Persisting Dreams’, ‘Thirteen 59 (1980)’ and ‘Alzheimer’ were positively received by critics and audiences in 2009 and 2010.

Some of the other movies in which he has appeared from 2008 to 2016 include ‘Twenty’, ‘Absolutely Tame is a Horse’, ‘Without Reason or Cause’, ‘Hatred’, ‘Bright Day’, ‘Track 143’, ‘Raspberries’, and 'Breath'.

Ahamdi has also played roles in the series such as ‘Alone in the Dark’, ‘Foggy Days’, ‘Until Being with Sorayya’, ‘The Capital 2' and 'The Capital 3’ from 1999 to 2015.
