Sheed Persian Filmfest nominees announced

The 2nd Sheed Persian Filmfest has named the nominees of the Golden Close-up award in the US.

The nominees are announced as below:

The best actress award: Hedieh Tehrani for ‘Israfil’, Niki Karimi for ‘Azar’ and Sareh Bayat for ‘Yellow’.

The best actor award: Navid Mohammadzadeh for ‘No Date, No Signature’, Mohamad Hamzei for ‘Azar’ and Pejman Bazeghi for ‘Israfil’.

Best film award: ‘No Date, No Signature’ produced by Ali Jalilvand, ‘Azar’ produced by Niki Karimi and ‘Yellow’ by Kamran Majidi

Best director award: Vahid Jalilvand for ‘No Date, No Signature’, Mohamad Hamzei for ‘Azar’ and Ida Panahandeh for ‘Israfil’.

The 2nd Sheed Persian Filmfest is to award winners with the Close-up award in memory of late Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami.

The winners of the event will be presented with the new award this year to commemorate the late Iranian director.

The Sheed festival will screen valuable Iranian movies produced during the recent years.

The festival is underway from November 10-12, 2017 in the US state of Texas.
