Greman film festival to screen Iran ‘Simulation’

Iranian movie ‘Simulation’ is to go on screen at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.

The 67th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) is scheduled to screen Iranian movie ‘Simulation’.

The German festival that will run from February 9 to 19 is to screen ‘Simulation at its Forum section.

Iranian director Abed Abset’s debut film ‘Simulation’ is about three young people who are looking for a place in their hometown to have an enjoyable time over the weekend.

While discussing over a variety of options, they finally decide on the house of an old man. In the past, they have only visited him once and do not have any particular close relations with him.

The festival will announce the lineups for other sections of the event in the near future.

The Berlin International Film Festival, also called the Berlinale, is one of the world’s leading film festivals, annually held in Berlin, Germany.

Established in West Berlin in 1951, it is considered the largest film event in term of actual attendance rates.

Up to 400 films are shown in several sections, representing a comprehensive array of the cinematic world. Around twenty films compete for the awards called the Golden and Silver Bears.

“The 67th Berlinale Forum is showing 43 films in its main program, 29 of which as world premieres and 10 as international premieres,” a press release about the festival read.
