Italian illustrator to hold workshops in Tehran

Tokyo-based Italian illustrator Philip Giordano has been scheduled to hold workshops in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on the art of illustration.

The Italian artist is currently holding workshops at the Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) in Tehran for a number of Iranian illustrators, the ICFI announced on Wednesday.

The event titled ‘Geometric Characterization’ has been organized by the ICFI in collaboration with the Iranian Illustrators Society.

Giordano works for several magazines and does designs for books and toys. His picture books have been published in many countries, including Japan, France, United Kingdom, China, Spain and Portugal.

He is the recipient of several awards, including a silver medal from the Society of Illustrators NY, and the International Award for Illustration from the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2010.
