Iranian movie ‘White Bridge’ has gone on screen at the 22nd edition of the Kerala International Film Festival (IFFK) in India.
Produced and directed by Ali Qavitan, the film went on screen at the International Competition section of the Indian on December 10, 2017.
The 80-minute flick stars Bahareh Norouzi, Sediqeh Norouzian as well as the director Qavitan.
Bahareh gets disabled in an accident just a few months after the start of the school year. According to the Ministry of Education, she must continue her education in special school. But Bahareh refuses to go to special school and tries to convince her former school to accept her.
However, it seems impossible for her to return to the regular school and she remains suspended. Bahareh and her mother have to fight to overcome the situation.
The competition section portrays the life and aspirations of people from different walks of life. The section consists of 14 movies out of which four are Indian.
The IFFK, acknowledged as one of the leading cultural events in India, is an annual event held in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum).
Started in 1996, the festival is hosted in November/December every year by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala.
The 22nd edition of the IFFK has been slated for December 8-15, 2017.
