'Retouch' by Kaveh Mazaheri and ‘Gaze' by Farnoush Samadi clinch awards as two Iranian short films at Festival Zubroffka, Poland

 ‘Retouch’ won the best film prize in Whole Wide World section of the fest while Farnoush Samadi’s film gaind the jury nod.

The jury also paised ‘Retouch’ in a statement, reading, “An original story in an efficient short film about conscience and retouching reality.”

‘Retouch’ tells the tragic story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes. Farnoush Samadi’s second short film is about a woman who has witnessed a crime on the bus on her way back home. The film tells her struggle over whether to reveal the crime or keep it a secret. It is co-written by Samadi and Ali Asgari, Filmnetnews.ir reported.

The 12th edition of Zubroffka International Short Film Festival was held on December 6-10, 2017.

The festival tries to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and thoughts, which will enable creative meetings of artists from eastern and western countries.
