Iranian feature film ‘The Home’ has been selected to go on screen on the opening day of the Asiatica Film Festival in Italy.
According to its official website recently, the festival will take place in Cinema 4 Fontane in Rome, with screening ‘The Home’ as the opening film.
Directed by Asghar Yousefinejad, ‘The Home’ narrates the story of a dead man who has made his will to dedicate his body to medical studies.
However, his daughter disagrees and the whole film revolves around the challenges the girl has with those who try to take the body.
‘The Home’ has so far received significant approval from both critics and cinema fans all around the globe.
It has competed at a number of renowned festivals, including the Tokyo International Film Festival in Japan and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.
The flick won the Golden Simorgh award for best film at the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
The Asiatica Film Festival combines films and music from Asian countries, promoting and supporting the diffusion of Asian cultural expressions in Rome.
To be held on December 17-20, 2017, the event presents about 50 productions, including feature films and documentaries, boosting the knowledge of realities in Asia.
