First official trailer for allegorical animation 'Kelileh & Demneh’ unveiled

First official trailer for Iran animation on allegorical animal fable ‘Kelileh & Demneh’ has been unveiled.

Directed by Alireza Tavakkoli Bina, the animated movie unveiled the trailer just before the public screening.

The animation has received the Special Jury Award at the Children’s Fest section of the Eurasia International Film Festival in Kazakhstan, 2017.

Kelileh and Demneh are two young jackals caught up during the middle of a rainy night. Meanwhile, a horrified owl pays a visit to the king of the jungle to report about the excessive hunting he had witnessed.

‘Kelileh & Demneh’ is the Persian version of ‘The Panchatantra’, which is a Sanskrit ancient Indian collection of interrelated animal fables in verse and prose, arranged within a frame story.

The movie will appear on the silver screen in Iranian cinemas on December 27, 2017.
