ifilm's exclusive report on Iranian feature ‘Isolation’

Watch ifilm's exclusive report on the Iranian feature film ‘Isolation’ directed by Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei and produced by Peyman Jafari, starring Amir-Ali Danaei.

ifilm: ‘Isolation’ was made on a proposal and a screenplay based on Ahmad Rafizadeh. It was made with many difficulties in its path.

Unlike what it seems, making ‘Isolation’ was a very difficult task because of a number of locations and the cast members that were in the movie.

Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei: It was a difficult movie. We didn’t make it in an apartment, a house or a room.

Peyman Jafari: We had 35 characters and 53 locations. It was a very challenging project. There was a lot of pressure on all the film crew, especially on Amir-Ali Danaei, who was there from the beginning to the end of the story, and also on the child actors.

ifilm: Making ‘Isolation’ was challenging because the screenplay went through a lot of changes.

Peyman Jafari: Look it was about interpersonal relationships. That’s why our characters increased.

ifilm: Amir-Ali Danaei portrays a different role in ‘Isolation’, which he shows his acting talents in this movie and that surprises the audience.

Amir-Ali Danaei:  Yes, considering the roles that I’ve taken on so far, they were all different, but this one differs a big deal. I’m very happy. I’ve always been after playing different roles. I don’t like to play stereotypical roles based on my appearance like many other actors. I don’t mean it’s bad, but I liked t otake some risks and face new challenges. It was very interesting.

ifilm: Even though there are a lot of cast members in ‘Isolation’, they don’t expect it to become a box office hit. But they do hope that it can become convey their concerns about what they are talking about in this movie to audiences.

Peyman Jafari: You see, the film revolves around a subject that we felt we have to convey to the people. The subject is misjudgment which prevails in our society. People keep misjudging each other and it has had a bad outcome. In the film, we have recounted the story in a way which shows the results of this negative trait. And till the end of the film, we see that people keep misjudging each other and subsequently, we see the outcomes.
