Swiss filmfest to screen Iran’s short ‘The Switchman’

The 1st edition of the Second Video Films Festival in Switzerland has set to screen ‘The Switchman’ directed by Mahdi Khorramian.

Khorramian’s work, produced at Iran’s Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), is about a switchman who has been waiting for his beloved for a long period of time, but it seems that the beloved is only in his dreams.

He is waiting for a woman at a train station. Finally he finds out the woman he is awaiting is not real and is part of his mind imaginations.

The 8 minute animation has won the Signor Rossi Award at the Rimini Cartoon Club in Italy in July 2017.

The 1st edition of the Second Video Films Festival is slated for August 17 – 19, 2018.
