Artists hold photo exhibit for Plasco anniversary

Artists hold photo exhibit, make film to commemorate Plasco anniversary.

On the first anniversary of Plasco Building inferno, Iranian artists hold photo exhibition and make film to commemorate the tragedy of the nation.

‘Water and Fire’ photography exhibition is to be inaugurated on January 23, 2018, at Iran Photographers’ House in Tehran to commemorate the tragic event.

A total of 70 photos captured by 14 press photographers will be on display. The photos illustrate the incident from the beginning up to the burial ceremonies of the victims.

So far, a documentary dubbed ‘Panjshanbeh Suri’ (Thursday Fireworks) directed by Mohammad-Hassan Ferdowsizadeh and a feature titled ‘Istanbul Juncture’ directed by Mostafa Kiaee have been made to recall and show respect to the victims of the Plasco Building collapse.

A tragic collapse of the high-rise landmark building Plasco in Tehran occurred in January 2018, killing several people, including a number of brave Iranian firefighters. The fire, explosion, and collapse incident was a national tragedy that will mourn Iranians upon the anniversary arrival for years to come.
