With one fourth of the world nations participating, the 10th Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts opens in Tehran.
This edition of the festival will showcase works of art from a variety of fields, ranging from video to installation art, and by about 170 artists from more than 50 countries.
The lineup includes 91 artworks picked from among some 11000 submissions.
One in three of the listed works is by female artists, while the fest will showcase works from Belgium, Brazil, Serbia, Peru, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Iraq.
Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts was founded in 2009, in order to introduce original ideas, interactive and creative artistic works from visual artists around the world.
The range of visual arts displayed at the festival include drawing, painting, miniature, calligraphy, ceramic, photography, caricature, graphic arts, sculpture, illustration, architecture (monument design), video art, installation, environmental, performance, new arts, etc.
The 2018 edition of Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts is currently underway from January 23 through February 23.
