Iranian movie ‘Italy Italy’ is to be screened at the 35th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Iranian movie ‘Italy Italy’ has been scheduled to feature at the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh’s feature film will be shown for the first time at the main competition section of the Fajr Film Festival to be held next month.

The movie, produced by Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh and written by Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh, stars Hamed Komeili, Sara Bahrami, Farid Sajjad-Hosseini, Homayoun Ershadi, Ali Mollaqolipour and Faezeh Alavi.

Made in a musical, fantasy and comedy genre, the plot of ‘Italy Italy’ reads, “I love you and it is none of your business.”

Fajr Festivals are held annually in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn), which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 35th Fajr Film Festival will be held in February 2017.
