Mérida Filmfest to host Iran movie ‘Abscess’

Directors Armin Tahmasbi and Ali Bateni’s ‘Abscess’ has been chosen to vie at the Mérida Film Festival in Mexico.

‘Abscess’ is about a young couple whose lives are deeply affected by addiction and drug abuse. Each new day in their troubled life gets darker until they decide to find a way out of their predicament.

The ‘Abscess’ cast includes Azizollahi, Ali Ardalan, Asef Rasouli, Tina Mousavi, Roya Qanbari, Raouf Rezai, Rasoul Mohammadi, Sepanta Sokouti, Amin Mohseni, Alireza Ahmadi, Saeed Jafari, Majid Ahmadi and Arman Tahmasebi.

The Mérida Film Festival, FECIME, is a festival of world cinema, in which a varied national and international filmography is given.

The festival hosts four days for independent filmmakers who come to present their selected films to the public, which includes sponsors and distributors who assist in selecting projects.

The 4th edition of the event is scheduled to launch on February 08-11, 2018.
