Belgrade Int’l filmfest to host Iran movie ‘Kupal’

‘Kupal’ directed by Kazem Molaei has been scheduled to vie at the Belgrade International Film Festival (FEST) in Serbia.

The movie has been qualified to vie at the Frontiers section of the 46th edition of the FEST.

“You cannot be alone in the world,” Molaei noted giving a clue to the philosophical origin of the film, adding that, “The world is a strange place. Here, whoever shoots is the one who gets killed.”

Notable cast members of the film include Levon Haftvan, Nazanin Farahani, Pouria Rahimi-Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi, Vahan Salimzadeh and Mitra Asiaee.

Launched in 1971, the FEST’s important feature all these years was its openness to films from all parts of the world, as well as to all relevant authors and works that would never have the opportunity to be shown in cinemas.

The 46th edition of the FEST is slated for February 23-March 04, 2018.
