Website of the ifilm English TV has released a music video from Iranian drama ‘Subdued’ directed by Hamid Nematollah.
The clip, sang by popular Iranian vocalist Homayoun Shajarian depicts an overwhelming situation that suffers the lead actress (Leila Hatami) following the time when she saw her love betraying.
‘Subdued’ is an emotional journey about Mina who is recently divorced from her drug addict husband. With her mother deceased and estranged from her father, she leads an independent life.
After finding a job in a restaurant, she strikes up a friendship with its attentive manager.
She begins to have feelings for him, which are eventually shared. However, when the manager begins to distance himself from her, a tumultuous emotional journey commences.
The movie, produced by Nematollah and written by Masoumeh Bayat, stars Leila Hatami, Kourosh Tahami, Hamid-Reza Azarang and Hossein Erfanian.
Nematollah’s flick has won several awards, including best picture at the 11th Celebration of Iranian Cinema Critics and Screenwriters festival and the Best Narrative Award at the Jounieh International Film Festival in Lebanon in 2018.
