Veteran Iranian actor Kazem Afrandnia has passed away at the age of 71.
Afrandnia was taken to the intensive care a few days ago following a stroke and passed away on Saturday, January 28.
He was born in the Iranian city of Nain and made his first TV appearance by appearing in 'Bravehearts of Tangestan' (1971) and he entered cinema with 'The Odd Ones', directed by Sa’eed Matlabi (1974).
Afrandnia acted in movies such as 'Mirzaa Norouz’s Shoes' (1985), 'Kanimanga' (1987), 'The Man in the Mirror' (1992), 'The Passion of Love' (2000) and 'Killing Dogs' (2000).
He also appeared in several series, including 'Aunt Sara' (1992), 'Asleep and Awake' (2002), 'A House in the Dark' (2003), 'A House without a Bird' (2010), 'Setayesh II' (2013-2014) and 'The Mystery of the Shah' (2010-2016).
