Iran animation ‘Pet Man’ receives award from Largo Int’l Film Festival

Iran animation ‘Pet Man’ receives Best Animation Award from the Largo Int’l Film Festival in Switzerland.

Iran animation ‘Pet Man’ has succeeded to receive Best Animation Award from the Largo International Film Festival in Switzerland.

Directed by Marzieh Abrar-Paydar in 2016, the film was produced in DEFC, the Iranian center for development of documentary and experimental cinema.

‘Pet Man’ tells the story of a pet shop owner who is sleeping in the shop. He nightmares himself in a scary cage with other animals. Trying to break the cage, he faces a barrier every time.

The animation has so far taken part at a number of international events, including the 40th Festival international du Court Metrage in France, the 21st Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival in South Korea and the 2017 edition of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in Austria.

The Largo International Film Festival is a film event which is held every month.  Its awards include Best Film Award, Best Director Award, Best Animation Award, and Best Documentary Award.

‘Pet Man’ received the Best Animation award of the festival’s January edition.
