Iranian movie ‘Bridge of Sleep’ directed by Oktay Baraheni has been selected to screen at a venue in the Canadian city of Vancouver.
Baraheni’s dramatic debut film will screen at the Cinematheque Center in the western coastal city of Vancouver, British Columbia, on March 18 and 22.
The intense social drama is a reimagination of Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s ‘Crime and Punishment’.
‘Bridge of Sleep’ is about Shahab, who is about to get married. He enters a business deal along with his friend in order to help his financial situation. However, he loses all his money and finds himself in financial hardship.
Once more screened in Canada, 'Bridge of Sleep' was featured at Regent Theatre, a venue for art-house films in Toronto, Canada on September 16, 2017.
