US university is to screen four Iran feature films

A lineup of Iran feature films are scheduled to be screened at the Iranian Filmfest in the US university of Wisconsin-Madison.

Four Iranian feature films are to be shown in the second edition of Wisconsin Iranian Film Festival (WIFF).

The event will screen Kazem Mollaei's 'Kupal', 'Being Born' directed by Mohsen Abdolvahab, Vahid Jalilvand's 'No Date, No Signature', and 'Asphyxia' Fereydoun Jeyrani.

Founded in 2017, the Wisconsin Iranian Film Festival has been set up by UW-Madison graduate student Hamidreza Nassiri to create a cultural dialogue through works of art, and in its second edition, it will showcase the best films of Iranian cinema.

The event is funded in part by ASM (Associated Students of Madison) and other sponsors like UW-Madison’s Middle East Studies Program, Multicultural Student Center, International Student Services (Global Badger Experience Grant), and Center for Leadership and Involvement (Wisconsin Experience Grant), and WUD Global Connections.

The 2018 edition of the event which is currently underway will come to a close on February 25.
