Iranian 'Maned & Macho' to compete in South Korea

Iranian short film 'Maned & Macho' is to compete at the 35th Busan Int'l Short Film Festival in South Korea.

Iranian short animation 'Maned & Macho' has been selected to vie at the 35th edition of the Busan International Short Film Festival in South Korea.

Directed by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi, the short animation is about a girl’s repressed emotions and instincts, which are embodied in some animals that come out of her dreams. However, no one in her family is receptive to these animals.

'Maned & Macho' has so far attended a number of international film events, including the 41st Göteborg Film Festival in Sweden and the 47th Giffoni International Film Festival in Italy.

A lineup of 42 films from 35 countries has been selected to go on screen at the Busan film festival.

Founded in 1980, the Busan International Short Film Festival is the oldest short film festival in South Korea. More the 1400 short films from around the world participate in the event.

The 35th edition of the Busan International Short Film Festival is slated for April 24-29, 2018.
