India's Thrissur filmfest to screen 'Kupal'

The Thrissur International Film Festival in India has set to screen Iranian movie 'Kupal'.

Directed by Kazem Molaei, the movie will be screened at the 13th edition of the Indian event currently underway in Kerala, India.

“You cannot be alone in the world,” the film director, Kazem Molaei, noted giving a clue to the philosophical origin of the film, adding “The world is a strange place. Here, whoever shoots is the one who gets killed.”

Notable cast members of the film include Levon Haftvan, Nazanin Farahani, Pouria Rahimi-Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi, Vahan Salimzadeh and Mitra Asiaee.

Launched in 2004, the International Film Festival of Thrissur (IFFT) is an annual event held in Thrissur, Kerala, India.

It is the second-largest film festival in Kerala. Masters and Classics, Children’s films, Young films, Beyond Universe, Folk waves and Contemporary World Films are the main sections of the festival.

The 13th edition of the Indian festival has been slated for March 1-7, 2018.
