Iran animation to attend Annecy Film Festival

Iran stop-motion animation ‘Mr. Deer’ by Mojtaba Mousavi has found way in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France.  

Produced by Elahe Farnia and directed by Mojtaba Mousavi, ‘Mr. Deer’ is Iran’s representative in the best short film section of the festival.

The 9-minute animation is narrated in an unknown time, in a ruined subway station which is similar to those in modern European societies. People in this society have animal faces and have forgotten humanity.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the world's top reference for animation films and is also one of the four international animated film festivals sponsored by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA).

Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998.

The Annecy Film Festival is scheduled to run from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th June 2018 in Annecy town in southeastern France.
