49 movies to vie at Iran-initiated wordless fest in US

With debut edition held in Iran, the US-based 2018 Globe Silent Film Festival reveals a lineup of 49 films in the competition section.

The third edition of the festival to be held April 21-29 will host the selection from around the world.

Initially launched in Iran, the first run of the Globe International Silent Film Festival received incredible reception on the international scale.

The GISFF is slated to be held in a new country every year, thereby introducing the silent cinema industry to all enthusiasts.

Silent films refer to films without dialogue or narration and recount their stories through the language of imagery, just as a painting.
