Iran animation ‘We’ has won the top prize of the 9th West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival (WVMSFF) in the US.
Written and directed by Fateme Fadaee Darestani, the 3-minute short animated film, made in 2015, tells the story of two sisters who are trapped under rubbles and are waiting for their father to come and save them.
The flick has so far won several awards at national and international festivals, including the 8th W.I.N.D. (Women, Innovation and Technology, United Nations and Diversity) filmfest and the 6th Best Shorts Competition award, both held in the US in 2017.
The West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival celebrates exceptional, compelling, and innovative works in film, experimental video and animation.
The 2018 West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival will take place on April 14 in Morgantown, West Virginia, US.
