Iran short film to play in competition at US filmfest

Iran short 'Gray Umbrella' is scheduled to compete at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Filmfest in US.

Directed by Mohammad Poustindouz, the short flick narrates the life story of a man who has a permanent habit up until he meets a man with a gray umbrella.

The short won a mention at the 23rd ifva Festival in Asian New Force Category. Several international festivals also screened and honored the title.

The cast members of the film are Akbar Shafei, Ghafour Shahbazi, Maryam Mohebbi and Amir-Ali Shafei.

Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, slated for May 3-12, 2018, is an Oscar-qualifying film event for shorts.
