Majidi's 'Beyond the Clouds' to inaugurate Fajr Int’l filmfest

Renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond the Clouds’ has been set to inaugurate the 36th Fajr International Film Festival at Tehran’s Charsu Cineplex.

Set in Mumbai’s impoverished underclass with Indian stars, ‘Beyond the Clouds’ revolves around issues happening to a teenage Indian sister and her brother dwelling on the adoration of love, life and nuanced human relationships.   

The 2017 Indian melodrama is Majidi’s latest project after his blockbuster ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.

Majid Majidi’s trilingual Indian film is scheduled to release in three languages in 34 territories across the world on April 20.

Majid Majidi is an internationally and critically acclaimed Iranian film director, film producer, and screen writer whose films have touched on many themes and genres and has won many international awards.

The 36th Fajr International Film Festival will unveil the entire lineup of the official selection in the near future.

Fajr International Filmfest is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and showcases films promoting artistic contribution to the medium.

The 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival is slated for April 19-27, 2018.
