Iran short film ‘Retouch’ wins award at Sukhum Int’l filmfest in Abkhazia

Iran short film ‘Retouch’ has succeeded to win Best Actress Award at the 1st edition of Sukhum International Film Festival in Abkhazia.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Retouch’ depicts the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

'Retouch' has recently won a series of top prizes from other international festivals, including the 4th Short Movie Club Film Festival in Belarus and the 9th session of Cinalfama Lisbon’s International Film Festival in Portugal.

Sukhum international film festival is the first film festival of international level in Abkhazia.

The event constituted only of short fiction films. However, in the years to come this festival will open up for feature-length films and documentaries.

Films from Abkhazia, Russia, Europe and other countries of the world attended this year's event.

The festival was held in Abkhazia from 2 to 7 April 2018.
