Aqakhani, Saeed (born May 10, 1971, Bijar)
Saeed Aqakhani is an actor, director and writer and studied theater at Tehran University.
He made his television debut with ‘Flight 57’ in 1993.
He has appeared in several series, including ‘Happy Hour’ (1994-1995), ‘All My Children’ (1997), ‘Fasten Your Seatbelts’ (2004), ‘I'm a Tenant’ (2004), ‘The Suspect Got Away’ (2005), ‘Habib's Happy Days’ (2006-2007), ‘A Message from the Afterlife’ (2007), and ‘The Other Man’ (2014).
Aqakhani has also directed some series such as ‘This New Year’ (2009), ‘Stepmother’ (2010), ‘The Occupiers’ (2010) ‘A Way Out’ (2010-2011), ‘Full Stop, Next Line’ (2011), ‘Cops and Robbers’ (2012), ‘Rooster’ (2012), and ‘Bad Days Pass’ (2013-2014).
He has acted in some movies, including ‘The Key to Marriage’ (1997), ‘Ewe’ (2009), ‘Dog Day Afternoon’ (2009), ‘The Porcupine’ (2010), ‘Combo Pizza’ (2010), ‘Whatever God Wants’ (2010), ‘Bulletproof’ (2011), ‘I am Diego Maradona’ (2014), and ‘The Long Farewell’ (2014).
He has also directed movies such as ‘Yalda Night’s Watermelon’ (2007) and ‘Lamp 100’ (2013).
Aqakhani won a Crystal Simorgh from Fajr Film Festival of the Best Actor in a Leading Role for ‘The Long Farewell’.
