Amini, Ahmad (born 1951, Tehran)
Ahmad Amini is a graduate of the Advanced School of TV and Cinema and has a BA in Film Directing from the University of Tehran.
He began working in the independent film industry and later worked as an assistant director in Akbar Sadeqi’s ‘High School’ (1986).
He has directed movies ‘Shadows of Invasion’ (1992), ‘Like a Stranger’ (1997), ‘An Umbrella for Two’ (2000), ‘This Woman Won't Talk’ (2002) and series ‘Image of a Dream’ (1996), ‘The First Night of Peace’ (2005) and ‘The Innocent Ones’ (2008).
He has also tried his hand at writing and Assistant Directing. He was nominated for the Best Screenplay Award of the Fajr International Film Festival for ‘Shadows of Invasion’ (1992) and the Best Directing Award of the Iran Cinema Celebration festival for ‘This Woman Won’t Talk’ (2002).
