Amini, Alireza (born December 31, 1970, Tehran)

Alireza Amini graduated in theater directing from Azad University. He made his debut in 1993 as a director of short films. 

He was an assistant director for ‘A Time for Drunken Horses’ in 1999. In 2000, Amini wrote and directed ‘Letters of the Wind’ for which he was nominated for the Crystal Simorgh from the International Fajr Film Festival. 

He has also tried his hand at editing and producing. 

So far he has written and directed ‘Testimony for God’ (2007) and ‘At the End of 8th Street’ (2011).

Amini has received many awards, including the Best Film award from the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, the Environmental award at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, an honorary diploma for Best Directing at the International Fajr Film Festival for ‘Seven Minutes to Autumn’ (2009).
