Hemmati, Sirous (born 1972, Tehran)
Sirous Hemmati holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Teacher Training University.
In addition to acting and directing, he is also a writer and a scene designer. He has won many awards from different festivals, including the award for Directing and Set Design for the play ‘Sorry, Wrong Number!’ (1998) from the Women’s Theater Festival and the award for Best Acting and Design for ‘A Strange Occurrence’ (1999) from the International Fajr Theater Festival.
He has won the award for the best actor at Cesta Fiesta Film Festival in Colombia in 2011.
Hemmati has performed in the television series including ‘Scarlet Soil’ (2001), ‘The Chef’ (2009), ‘Matador’ (2012) and ‘Goodbye Child’ (2012).
He has also appeared in ‘My Father's Farm’ (2003), ‘The Lizard’ (2003), ‘A Piece of Bread’ (2004), ‘Barefoot in Heaven’ (2005), ‘The Other Man’ (2009) and ‘Escape from Roodkhan Castle’ (2014).
