Join iFilm English on a journey as we reveal our new series, 'Screen stars: Actors with most TV appearances'.

Join us on an exploration with iFilm English as we unveil our latest series, 'Screen Stars: Actors with Most TV Appearances', putting the spotlight on the talents who have graced iFilm screens most frequently over the past year.

Our second feature shines a light on veteran actress Sorayya Qasemi.

Over the last year, she has appeared in nine iFilm series, including ‘The Spiritualists’, ‘In My Heart’, ‘A Cage to Fly’, ‘That’s not the Way’, ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’, ‘No Pain, No Gain’, ‘After the Rain’, ‘The Enigma of the Shah' and ‘The Tenth Night’.

In these roles, Qasemi has portrayed a variety of characters, often depicting the archetype of a caring mother striving to keep her family together.

However, one standout performance in 'The Enigma of the Shah' shows Qasemi's versatility.

Here, she takes on the role of the head of a group of beggars in the 1970s, displaying a depth and range that wondered audiences despite appearing in only a few scenes.

Qasemi's journey into the entertainment industry began in the early 1960s, following in the footsteps of her mother Hamideh Kheirabadi.

Starting as a radio host, Qasemi transitioned to stage acting, earning acclaim for her performances. She also made her mark in dubbing films and series, expanding her repertoire and demonstrating her ability.

Her talent and hard work have won her prestigious awards, including the Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for her role in 'Maral' in 2000.

In short, Qasemi is a screen icon. With each role, she captivates audiences and leaves a lasting mark, cementing her legacy in Iranian entertainment.
