Amiri-Moqaddam, Abbas (born 1950, Amol - died February 26, 2011, Rasht)
After finishing high school, Abbas Amiri-Moqaddam joined the Theater Office of Rasht, where he began stage and cinema acting.
He first appeared in a minor role in the series ‘Forest Uprising’, then made his movie debut in ‘Fire in Winter’ (1984).
He proved his acting skills with the movie ‘The Bride’ (1990) after which he became known as a versatile film and television actor.
He was nominated for a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Symorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance ‘A Faraway Place’ in 2005.
One of his most memorable roles was the priest of the Temple of Amun in the series ‘Prophet Joseph’ (2008) and Abu-Moosa Ash’ari in the series ‘Imam Ali’ (1997-1998).
His last role in a television series was that of Amer bin-Masoud in ‘The Rise of Mokhtar’ (2010-2011).
Amiri-Moqaddam passed away in a traffic accident in 2011.
